Built for 24/7 Operation: AAEON’s New PICO-SEMI Systems

Fanless, power-efficient operation meets rugged design to take edge computing outdoors and beyond.

AAEON’s newest PICO-SEMI systems are designed to maintain 24/7 operation no matter the deployment scenario. The PICO-ADN4-SEMI Rev.B thrives where others can’t, combining wide power input and temperature ranges with low-power Intel® Processor N-series CPUs for longevity in outdoor deployments. Meanwhile, the Intel® ESQ-qualified PICO-MTU4-SEMI grants both high performance and efficiency, blending Intel® Core™ Ultra AI capabilities with minimal power consumption.

Our choice for telecommunication providers, the PICO-ADN4-SEMI Rev.B maintains a -40°C to 50°C temperature tolerance with a lightweight and fanless design. Wireless expansion support via M.2 2230 E-Key and mini PCIe slots alongside a wide 9V to 36V DC input range ensures continuous operation the in the face of voltage fluctuations, making it ideal for cell-tower deployment. To boot, the compact system offers both wall and DIN rail mounting, simplifying installation.

About PICO-ADN4-SEMI Rev.B

The PICO-MTU4-SEMI blends power and efficiency into one compact device. EU Regulation No. 617/2013 Certified, the system consumes just 1.56W and 0.26W in S3 and S5 power modes, respectively, with an average total power draw of just 27 kWh annually. Despite this low power base, the PICO-MTU4-SEMI can tap into immense compute power in a fraction of a second, making it the perfect platform for AI-driven safety monitoring systems where 24/7 readiness is required, but continuous energy consumption isn’t.
