The FWS-7840 rackmount appliance from AAEON is delivering the power and flexibility to deliver network structures that are more flexible with higher-bandwidth. Powered by the Intel® Xeon® W processors (formerly Comet Lake), the system comes standard with eight RJ-45 ports controlled by the Intel® i350AM4 chipset featuring Intel® Virtualization Technology including on-chip QoS and Traffic Management as well as SR-IOV. The FWS-7840 also offers optional two SFP+ ports delivering greater bandwidth that supports network virtualization. Expandability comes with two NIM slots to better tailor the system to your network architecture, as well as Mini PCIe slot to quickly add on wireless capabilities. Along with a redundant power supply to ensure reliable operation, the FWS-7840 is built to deploy network applications such as SD-WAN, Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) and Unified Threat Management (UTM).
