The FWS-7840 is powered by the latest generation of Intel® Xeon® W processors (formerly Comet Lake), providing greater processing performance as well as more cores and more threads to power faster, more secure networks.

The FWS-7840 comes standard with eight Gigabit LAN ports powered by the Intel® i350AM4 chipset, featuring Intel® Virtualization Technology including on-chip QoS and Traffic Management as well as SR-IOV.

The FWS-7840 is designed to adapt to your network structures, with two NIM slots to quickly add on functionality, as well as an optional pair of SFP+ 10Gbps ports, allowing users to take advantage of high bandwidth networking with virtualization capabilities.

The FWS-7840 provides several key features to ensure flexible, reliable networking, including redundant power supply, Mini PCIe expansion for wireless networks, and PCIe [x8] for 100G network cards or encryption cards for enhanced data and network security.
