The COM-R2KC6: The Ultimate AMD Ryzen-Powered COM Express Module

The new COM-R2KC6 offers users up to 4 cores and 8 threads of performance via its AMD Ryzen™ Embedded R2000 Series Processor platform. Ideal for applications where efficient multitasking and scalability are important, the COM-R2KC6’s CPU selection benefits from AMD’s Zen+ x86 core architecture, bringing together multiple processing blocks and Radeon™ Graphics into a unique die design that offers higher clock speeds, more sophisticated display output, and greater I/O support.

Breaking with the convention of its standard COM Express Module range, the COM-R2KC6 offers four simultaneous 4K displays via one eDP and three DDI connectors. This can be further optimized by the board’s integrated AMD Radeon™ Vega 8 Graphics and additional GPU support via its PEG [x4] slot. Complementing its PEG slot, the COM-R2KC6 also offers up to six PCIe Gen 3 slots to help tailor the board to specific application needs.

Despite its small 95mm x 95mm form factor, the COM-R2KC6 is exceptionally versatile, armed with a diverse I/O that includes 2.5GbE LAN for high-speed networking and total of eight USB interfaces ranging from USB 2.0 to USB 3.2 at 10Gbps. Its 8-bit GPIO, UART, and SMBus also offer a great range of communication options, boosted by LPC expansion via its carrier board for more legacy I/O options.
