Accommodating CPUs from the uniquely positioned, ultraportable 12th Gen Intel® Core™ Processors for IoT Edge platform (formerly Alder Lake PS), the MIX-ALPSD1 benefits from the high processing power and efficient performance hybrid architecture that characterizes the 12th generation’s mobile processor line, while retaining the flexibility of its LGA1700 socket-type desktop CPU range. With Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology integrated into supported platform hardware, the MIX-ALPSD1 takes advantage of optimized workload allocation making it a balanced solution for projects requiring high performance but low power consumption.
Built on the 170mm x 170mm Mini-ITX form factor, the MIX-ALPSD1 is suitable for discreet deployment in small or confined spaces. Due to the board’s compatibility with 12W ~ 45W CPUs from across the 12th Gen Intel® Core™ Processors for IoT Edge range, it offers a great deal of flexibility in integration. When paired with a 12W CPU, AAEON is able to offer fanless operation, making the MIX-ALPSD1 a friendly option for applications requiring less noise, such as smart kiosks. Moreover, the MIX-ALPSD1’s 12V DC power input lends itself to such installations, where power sources may be limited or where energy efficiency is a concern.
The MIX-ALPSD1 offers three simultaneous 4K displays at 60Hz, courtesy of two HDMI 2.0 ports and eDP pin header. Further, its support for Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics with up to 96 graphics execution units and CPU-derived AI acceleration features via Intel® DL Boost mean the board can provide sophisticated display outputs across multiple screens. For data acquisition and security, the MIX-ALPSD1 once again balances physical ports for USB 3.2 Gen 2 and GbE LAN with multiple internal connectors which offer HD audio, multiple serial port headers, and dual-Channel LVDS.
